Your user password is stored in the database as an encrypted bCrypt-Salted hash which cannot be reversed to reveal it. All data is stored in a server located in the UK. We operate Google reCAPTCHA to protect our website and the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.
The data gathered by this website is not disclosed to any other party other than to comply with a lawful instruction issued by a Scottish Court.
You can de-register for any of the services offered by Abernyte.org at any time by contacting the webmaster via the Contact page of this site or by the Account Deletion button on the front page.

The personal details you submit to register for receipt of emails on items of interest to the residents and friends of Abernyte are retained by Abernyte Community Interest Company and only used for that purpose. Your contact details may be held in the server of a partner company, SendinBlue, who are providing our email service and will be accessible to them along with data on which emails you have opened. SendinBlue is an EU company and subject to the provisions of EU-GDPR.
The data are only accessible to the Administrator and Committee of the Abernyte CiC who is the owner of this service and to the server owners. They are only used for the purpose of delivering this service to you.

Abernyte Heating Oil Collective
The database of those who participate in the Abernyte Heating Oil Collective is held via software hosted on a server in West Virginia, USA. The privacy of this data cannot be guaranteed as it is subject to the US Cloud Act 2019 and not the EU or UK GDPR.
