The proposed traffic calming measures in Abernyte to mitigate any increase in traffic from the opening of the CTRL north of Perth have been released.  The proposals are to install three ramps, one at both the northern and southern entry to the village and one just north of the junction with the Kinnard Road, on the B953. The installation is proposed to be done between 17th and 21 March 2025.  These are considered to be temporary measures and will be monitored  for traffic speed and numbers to see if they are effective and can be removed if required.
