Braes of the Carse Conservation Group AGM
Wednesday 22nd November at 7.00pm Guardswell Farm Abernyte
It is hard to believe but it is now almost 10 years since the Braes of the Carse Conservation Group was formed and we would like to thank all our loyal friends, members and of course our committee for their support over the years.
We invite you all to please attend our AGM to be held on Wednesday 22nd November at 7.00pm. at the recently opened and exciting new venue of Guardswell Farm at Aberntye. Amongst other things Guardswell runs cookery courses, workshops, talks, parties, and weddings. Anna Lamotte whose family along with the Wilson family has looked after Guardswell Farm since 2011 will be giving a short talk regarding all the varied events that are held there. For those of you who may not yet be familiar with the venue I have included a link below to their website which also has a map for directions.
As well as the normal AGM. business Alison Ramsey will be giving a summary on the recent update of The Local Development Plan 2 (2018-23). Development Plans are updated every five years, and this should give a good idea of where development may occur in the Carse going forward.
Our guest speaker for this year is Carol Littlewood and the title for her talk is 'Barn Owls and Tree Sparrows'
Carol worked with Angus FWAG for many years before setting up her own consultancy, providing conservation and environmental advice in 2009. She has been involved with a series of conservation projects for Barn Owls as well as Tree Sparrows, and is currently working with the Tay Landscape Partnership.
The inaugural BCCG award for excellence in design will also be announced on the night.
After the meeting there will be an opportunity to chat with your area committee members over tea and coffee.
We look forward to seeing you there!
The instructions for thinking outside the box are printed on the outside.
